MELANIE DAWN SMITH October 2, 1977 - August 11, 1993 Last night while I was trying to sleep Melanie's voice I did hear I opened my eyes and looked around But she did not appear She said Mom, you've got to listen, You've got to understand God didn't take me from you He only took my hand He pulled me up and saved me from my misery and pain, My body was hurt so bad inside I could never be the same. My search is really over now. I've found happiness within All the answers to my dreams and all that might have been. I love you all so very much and I'll always be nearby. My body's gone forever, but my spirit will never die . And so we must all go on, as we try to understand. God didn't take Melanie from us, He only took her hand. And I know one day when God returns He will wipe away my tears When he takes my hand and pulls me up, and my Melanie appears. Love with all my heart Momk
